Richard H. Miller, Jr., CPA, began his professional career as an accountant with Hoyt, Devine & Company, CPA’s. After working primarily with closely-held businesses for four years, he served as a Controller and Financial Vice President. He then founded The Harrison Group, Inc. in May 1985 as a fee-only financial planning organization. In 1987 the firm began to establish Section 125 Plans for clients. Since then, The Harrison Group, Inc. has evolved into a firm that provides technical consulting and benefit plan design, implementation and administration services to a wide range of businesses and organizations throughout the United States.
Rich earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University and is a Certified Public Accountant, and an active member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).
Rich and his wife Estelle reside in Havertown, PA, where they raised their three children (Rich, Brian, and Laurie) and now enjoy free time with their grandchildren. Rich is an avid golfer and long-time member of Overbrook Golf Club in Villanova, PA.
